ITINERARY
DAY 01 – DELHI TO JAIPUR
This magical tour of Jaipur and Agra will start at the IGI airport in New Delhi. One of our team members will be there for your warm welcome in traditional style and he will also assist you to board the cab so that you can start your journey towards Jaipur that usually takes around 5 hours. You will meet your tour guide at the reception of your hotel who will assist you with the check-in process so that you can take some rest before starting the sightseeing with a visit to Hawa Mahal which is also known as palace of winds followed by the City Palace which is located in the heart of the city.
The next destination of this tour will be the Jantar Mantar which is an astronomical observatory built by the Maharaj Sawai Jai Singh II in 18th century and this place is also an UNESCO World Heritage site in Jaipur. You can also explore the collection of art and historical items at Albert Hall Museum in the evening before returning back to your hotel for an overnight stay. If you want to have a traditional dinner while watching a folk-dance performance then you can also visit Chokhi Dhani culture village this day.
DAY 02 – JAIPUR TO AGRA & DELHI
You should check-out from the hotel after having a delicious breakfast and start a 4-hour journey towards Agra which the city of Taj. You will be meeting with your tour guide in the parking area who will assist you to clear the security check and will take you inside the Taj Mahal complex. You will be spending approximately two hours here so do not hesitate to take as many pictures as you can to capture the beautiful memories of this wonderful tour.
The next destination of this tour will be one of the most iconic landmarks of the country which is Agra Fort. This massive fort was originally built by Mughal emperor Akbar in 16th century and since then it has served as the main residence for many Mughal Rulers in India. There are many interesting places inside this fort such as “Diwan-I-Aam” and “Diwan-I-Khas” where you must visit and do not forget to explore “Jahangir Mahal”, “Khas Mahal” and “Musamman Burj” where emperor Shahjahan was imprisoned by his son.

It is technically possible but your flight should land in Delhi early morning before 06:00 am and should take off after 09:00 pm on the second day. You should also prepare yourself for long travel time and reaching your destination at late night. You will be travelling towards Jaipur to explore some prominent historical sites such as Amber Fort on the first day and you will be travelling towards Agra on the second day to explore the Taj Mahal which is a must visit attraction of this tour. You will be reaching back to Delhi in the evening to catch a flight to your next destination. This is a very compressed itinerary to explore the most important sites but if you can add one more day then it would be a much better tour plan to explore everything comfortably.
The itinerary of this 2-day tour is very compressed but it allows you to explore most important places that are a must visit in Jaipur and Agra. Amber Fort, Hawa Mahal and City Palace are the must visit attraction in Jaipur with a road side stop at Jal Mahal Palace for photography. You can also visit Jantar Mantar observatory if you have time but it will delay your arrival in Agra and you will be reaching at late night. You can comfortably explore the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort during this journey but it is recommended to skip Baby Taj and Mehtab Bagh because you have to reach Delhi by the evening to catch a flight. It is advisable that you should not spend much time at a single place instead you should explore as many places as you can in these 2 days.
This itinerary has a dedicated time in the evening for shopping in Jaipur’s vibrant markets and your tour guide would happily take you to some famous markets. If you want to buy some textile or handicraft items then Bapu Bazaar is a good place where you can buy the famous block printed bedsheets and other items but if you want to buy Jewellery or Gemstones then you should go to Johari Bazaar which is a well-known market and a historical hub in the pink city. Tripolia Bazaar is also a famous market for Pottery and Blue Lac Bangles if you like these things. We strongly recommend to add a few more days to this itinerary if you want explore all of these markets comfortably without any hurry.
It depends on the type of package that you have selected because most basic tour packages in India only includes private car with driver and a tour guide but premium packages also included entry tickets to the monuments in Jaipur and Agra. It is highly recommended to check the inclusion section of the itinerary to keep the things clear so that you would not need to face any issues at the time of sightseeing. Some tour packages might also include the cost of other activities such as a traditional dinner at a culture village or a rickshaw ride in some bustling market. The roads between these three cities are among the best highways in northern part of India and your ride would be very smooth between these cities. Delhi to Agra is well connected via Yamuna Expressway or the National Highway and the journey only takes three and half hour. Agra to Jaipur is also very well connected and the travel time is 5 hours but if you want to take a break for sightseeing at Fatehpur Sikri then it will take more time. The multi lane highway between Delhi and Jaipur is also very good but you might face some traffic at city entry points. It is advisable to avoid late night driving specially during winters because of dense fog and prefer early morning departure to avoid city traffic.
